This is the first track Tree has released since his sophomore mixtape dropped back in May. Chicago’s Soultrap pioneer recounts a violent incident and sheds necessary light on what Chicago’s unfortunately become known for. It’s refreshing to hear someone spit honest rhymes that don’t glorify serious issues- Tree is definitely a standout player in Chicago rap. Although new to the game, the 29-year-old emcee flows like a veteran.
