Supa Bwe is “a mushroom cloud on the rise” and much more. 10-4, (Supa’s birthdate) is his first solo EP. He starts with “25” as he’s celebrating his 25th today in Mexico. He describes the project as a four song movie and I can see it. DIY King, Supa recorded, mixed and produced most of this himself except the aggressive sounding “Buddy Pine” which was recorded by Closed Sessions and has ZenZanBeats with him on production. In “Favela” Supa is escalating all types of things, he brings in Chandler London who warns that he’s a demon and nothing but trouble in his dark and strong feature. “Kingdom of Chicago” is a Hurt Everybody song produced by Mulatto Beats and features Roosevelt The Titan. Rose’s verse is outstanding, he sounds great with Hurt Everybody and I hope they continue to collaborate. Carl shines. Supa is a mentor to many younger artists in Chi and when he talks about riding with you, he means it. He surprises with “Birds” as a bonus track. Fans have been waiting to celebrate 10-4, happy birthday Supa, thanks for the present.
