I’ve always been impressed with Wiz’s brains. I mean, it’s not like many artists to take a direct step back in the past like Wiz has with this new single in collaboration with one of hip-hop’s biggest smokers: Curren$y. The two used to have a solid relationship of collaboration, so it’s no surprise that the two plan to release a new project together, entitled #2009, apparently on 4/20 (according to sources.)
Reason I love this so much is 1.) because the single is honestly hot fire but 2.) because Wiz knows there are tons of people out there waiting for him to make some new, “old Wiz” type shit. If this doesn’t silence those who have lost touch with him since becoming a major label artist, I don’t know what will. Can’t wait for #2009 and to feel like I’m a high school sophomore again.
