Tree gets a big look on his second single “Look At Me Now” from TrapGenius with a premiere on Entertainment Weekly. They describe “Tree’s formula results in music that somehow manages not just to juxtapose strip club music and gospel, but to find unexpectedly deep connections between them. Topped by Tree’s ragged, smoke-worn voice—a haunted howl that has as much in common with the blues men of yore as it does with a typical rapper’s flow—the combination is transcendent and moving. And it still sounds great bumping out of a bass-heavy car stereo system.” The Dutchmaster produced the beat for “Look At Me Now” and the roll out for this project has been impressive as hell. Check out the first leak Don’t Een Kare and the short documentary that shows the trap and sheds light on what a Trap Genius is. Look for the long awaited project on Feb. 17.
