We’ve come to a point where the term “indie rock revival” can almost fully be used in regular context. Massachusetts band Speedy Ortiz is one of the premier leaders of the movement. Their 2013 debut, Major Arcana, was one of the year’s best LP’s, a throwback of a record from a band that wears their influences on their sleeves.
“American Horror” is their first 2014 offering and the first single off of their upcoming EP Real Hair, out February 11 on Carpark Records. They somehow caught the spirits of prime Lou Barlow in a bottle and clearly know what to do with it.
