Netherfriends released the single “Smoke A Little Tree” from LADYFRIENDS, his album which is scheduled for release at the end of the month. He describes the project as “a stoner lover album” and an art show and live performance at Canvas Gallery on July 17. In the “Smoke A Little Tree” video which was shot and directed by Onion Creek Productions, we see what I imagine to be a day in the life of this creative and multifaceted artist, he’s performing and traveling while surprising and entertaining those that he encounters along the way. He says that he wrote and recorded this track while “high on weed brownies” and appropriately dropped the audio at 4:20 PM. It features Will Miller on trumpet and Carter Lang on bass and Netherfriends shares some reasonable relationship goals.

Netherfriends stays busy and moving. He’s planning 77 shows in 77 Chicago neighborhoods and generously offered via his twitter, “If you live in Chicago, I’ll play your house or backyard in August.
