“Nothing ever ends where you thought it would when you started
This song’s not going to be what it seems to me now”
“Strange Darling” by singer & songwriter Miya Folick of Los Angeles premiered via Noisey. Miya has three songs out and I love them all, her music is pure and passionate. In “Strange Darling” she sings about the forever changing nature of love and desire over instrumentation by herself, Josh Grondin on guitar, Jon Engelhard on bass and Cassidy Turbin on drums. Miya described “”I made the demo for ‘Strange Darling’ in my apartment after buying a little, old Casio keyboard and my first guitar slide. It wrote itself fairly quickly because it was exactly how I was feeling at the time — very in love with someone I didn’t understand at all, hoping this person loved me too, but also aware that my own feelings might evaporate as quickly as they came on.” I’m confident you’ll enjoy “Strange Darling” by the end of the song and after.
“I want you, will I want you for long
Will I want you by the end of this song”
