Kali Uchis has done a lot recently to ascend to the forefront of a rising crop of indie-pop stars (that’ll soon probably be pop stars). From working with the likes of Tyler, The Creator to touring with Leon Bridges, the Colombian vocalist has garnered impressive steam in a competitive industry. Today, Uchis released the DJ Dahi produced Ridin Round – and she does nothing but prove why she is worthy of the the praises she has received from high and low. Uchis showcases a unique sound going in and out of a flowy-cadence to singing about how she is just as good as billed – which in all actuality blends together nicely as I don’t think there’s too many “pop” artists using this sort of approach.
