Memphis artist, Jon Waltz returns after seven months with the heartfelt and gripping first single, “Anna,” from his sequel EP of the same title. Waltz took some time after his outstanding, intricate debut Alyss. He’s an artist whose sound continually evolves and he described “Anna” to HypeTrak, who premiered the single, “It’s pop, but it’s not what people would expect from a pop song. It’s very genuine music, and it was just created by internet kids using iPhones to communicate with each other. It’s about moving back and having nothing be the same, but moving on from past relationships and accepting life.” Romil of Brockhampton produced the track. I can’t wait to hear the Anna EP, it is scheduled for a late November release.
