Jean Deaux took some time making Soular System Vol. 1: Dark Matter[s] and the work shows. There’s a lot of range on this 11 track project, both musically and in mood yet it remains very cohesive sounding. Jean goes from lovely singing to skillful rapping. The sophisticated production is handled by Jean, Tim Suby, Donnie Trumpet THEMpeople, Force One Seven and more. Listen to the whole project, a few of my favorites are towards the end of the tape. Jean Deaux creates another Soular System that sounds layered, ethereal and atmospheric. I look forward to Vol. 2.
