Beatmachinearon is a producer from Iceland, his style is somewhat old school using a lot of loops and chopped up samples but his music certainly has a place amongst it’s more contemporary peers as everyone needs a soundtrack for longingly gazing at the moon. His new track “othrside” is exactly that; a smooth snare engulfs the listener and a piano loop sets the tone for a long night of thinking. Incredibly raw, soulful, and bare the beat really is a treat and I could absolutely see someone like Joey Badass or Ab Soul taking it in an incredibly deep direction.
