Ladies and gentlemen, the follow up to Barter 6 is here. Young Thug has released his VERY anticipated mixtape Slime Season, which features appearances from Quavo, Peewee Longway, and surprisingly Lil’ Wayne. Yes, the first song on Thugger’s new tape is his somewhat old collaboration with Wayne, “Take Kare”. It is unclear if the including of this track on the mixtape has ended the beef between Wayne and Thug, but it’s sure to spark some discussion.
Aside from all the rap gossip, the 18 track mixtape features several previously released Thug songs as well as plenty of new material. Some of the tracks are more straight forward while others showcase the experimentation Thug is known for, which is why he is one of my favorite artists today.
I guess it’s up to the public to decide, but with Kanye’s YEEZY SEASON 2 runway show today (as well as a new track leaking), is it Slime Season or Yeezy Season? Take a listen to the mixtape and decide for yourself.
