Tedy Brewski takes the idea of “experimental hip hop” in a whole different direction on his latest project. Black Friday presents us with an eclectic but very fitting mash of Ska, Grime, Punk, New Wave, and a number of other styles not typically associated with the rap game. Unlike Lil Wayne’s foray into rock music, Brewski’s tape gives us a cohesive and informed take on the genres that clearly had a large impact on Brewski’s musical development.
