“She said Trapo can you take me on a date
My folks don’t know you’re black
Don’t overreact
You’ll be okay”
17 year old Madison singer/rapper Trapo continues to impress with his latest release, “Bad Gal,” the lead single from his next project, She. The track was produced by Derrick Thomas who created a groove that gracefully supports Trapo’s singing and makes excellent use of a sample from Jill Scott’s “He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat).” Trapo creates music with emotion, in “Bad Gal,” his rich voice sounds relaxed and strong. Mishka premiered the song with a Q&A and the young artist talked about She, “The EP was made with a different woman in mind for each song. Each track relates to a specific experience I’ve had. Everything actually happened. The EP is super realistic in the sense that it’s a bunch of short stories about girls I’ve ran into.” Listen to “Bad Gal” and then his debut EP, The Black Beverly Hills, while waiting for She.
“What makes you think you’re better than me
I swear this girl is a demon
You’re not better than I
This girl is a demon
You are nothing special”
