Time after time Chicago continues to prove itself to be a breeding ground for a new generation of artists. With success stories from Chance the Rapper, the somewhat short lived career of Chief Keef and the growing popularity of Alex Wiley, the best we can do now is wager on who’s going to wear the Chicago crown next. This is where The Lost Boys come into play.
The Lost Boys, a Chicago duo, is made up of Nick G. and Leek. While this group has only recently formed, they are not amateurs to the music scene. I’ve covered Leek’s solo work and his collaboration last year with his close friend and WxY member Moon.
The new track titled C/W brings out a refined version of Leek with his new partner in crime. Both artists are able to flow back and forth between each other over solid production courtesy of Wildlife Willy.
After listening to this song a few times, I have to say this is some of Leek’s best work to date. I’m looking forward to hearing more from The Lost Boys in the upcoming months.
