Every day here at 1833 I am finding a new artist that makes me question how I’ve lived my life up to this point without their music. Today’s discovery, via Fancy PR, comes from Phoebe Ryan and her camcorder-style video for the beautifully-energetic Mine. The style, in which the video is shot, gives you the same vibe you would get from watching your own, personal home videos. In an age in which lo-fi videos are becoming a commonplace, the nostalgic effect not only uses lo-fi how it should be used, but it helps the viewer conceptualize her ascension into being a contender in the pop-world – and to be completely honest, it is 100% adorable. Phoebe is going to have her hands full, beginning today, as she sets out on an almost two month, nationwide tour supporting Say Say Lou and Smallpools.
