Canada and OVO’s own PARTYNEXTDOOR dropped a little remix of sorts to Disclosure’s “Latch” yesterday, his first release since the drop of his debut album “PARTYNEXTDOOR II” in July of this year.
Personally, I thought I would never be able to hear any form of “Latch” again without cringing. Similar to Frank Ocean before him over MGMT’s “Electric Feel” and The Eagles “Hotel California” off “Nostalgia Ultra”, PARTY brings a tasteful amount of his own vibe to the record. It’s fun and playful, just enough to forget the last time I heard “Latch” which was from a crowd of 10 16-year-olds on the Red Line.
