Mishka Records chief Ben Niespodziany is going strong, today he released the first in his 3 part instrumental EP series, W3NDCH3LL, Pt. 1 (Soul). These three EPs will all drop this week, each one is comprised of 13 tracks by 13 different Chicago producers. Space is next on Wednesday, May 27 and finally, Slap on Friday, May 29. They are a great follow up to his first two Chicago based instrumental projects, WindChill: A Chicago Instrumental Experience and W2NDCH2LL. I’m glad he spread them out a bit, will give listeners a couple days with each one. Ben said “The Soul segment kickstarts our Chicago adventure (hence the tour bus in the artwork provided by Via Rosa), taking you back into the past for some sample-heavy goodness. The entire project was mixed and engineered by Kawaakari at Classick Studios in Chicago.” He also adds “Thanks to everyone that has helped, from beginning to end. The Windy City is shining brightly this week and I couldn’t be happier. How fitting that it’s really windy today.” This is an impressive and deep representation of the talented musicians of Chicago and shows Ben Niespodziany & Mishka Records profound knowledge and commitment to the city and it’s artists.
