I don’t know about you, but any time someone comes after Kanye West before they even get to their 4th bar then my attention has already been grabbed. Washington D.C., and the DMV, have produced major talent as of late and Lyrx isn’t any control to the experiment. His latest, Dropout, is a chaotically controlled chronicle of a kid who would rather put the nonsense aside and just focus on what it is he has always wanted to do. Clever rhyme schemes and a beat from Pink Slip might be the formula for a hit, and also another reason for all of us to quit snoozing on the DMV.
