North London’s Little Simz is just 21 and ascending quickly. She’s a star and has already toured with Schoolboy Q, won the ‘Breakthrough Act Of The Year’ award at the 10th Annual Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards and was nominated in two categories at the MOBO Awards (Best Hip Hop Act and Best Newcomer). I’m late and first heard Little Simz on Joywave’s track “Bad Dreams” where she featured with Mick Jenkins and then saw her slay at Chance The Rapper’s “Free The People” SXSW showcase. “Guess Who” is from her next project called AGE 101: Drop 4 and features Josh Arcé, Chuck 20 and Tilla Arcé who all flow impressively over Sigurd’s intricate beat. Simz co-directed the video with Versetti and says “These are NOT music videos, rather they are moments in time captured in one shot!” She has incredible skill, style and stage presence, stay posted for Drop 4 the prelude to her debut album coming soon.
