My mom just walked into my office while I was listening to Brasstracks’s latest cover, and said, “This sounds like Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass.” Then we proceeded to watch a bunch of Herb Alpert videos on YouTube, and I played her more of those sweet, sweet Tracks of Brass. Anyway, my mom is a Brasstracks fan now, but quite honestly, who isn’t a Brasstracks fan?
By the way, my dad literally just walked downstairs and again, heard me as I was writing this post. As he passed, he said, “listening to a little Herb Alpert?” Basically, my parents are apparently big Herb Alpert fans, I have no idea why I haven’t played them Brasstracks before, ok goodnight
