In the later part of last year I was introduced to a group of pals living in Chicago who called themselves “Wasted Youth” aka “WxY”. The prominent members, Moon & Ju appeared suddenly on Soundcloud and released only a couple tracks but they have a few features under their belt in the time leading up to today. Just last week we premiered Ju’s solo debut with Channel which gives you a good idea on the sound these guys have. The instrumental dripped of cold, misty, dark nights from living in Chicago. Today we’re treated with another track from another member of WxY, Leek, formerly known as Guapo. It details the relationship with Leek and one his female pals. In the current times we have Snapchat where anybody can either make or break your soul. She continues to send provocative photos, eggplant emojis and side-eyes. Little does she know that Leek is still a C-boy, so don’t tweak on him, he’s still the Wasted Youth of today.
