Jayyeah, a Long Beach-based “beach goth boy producer” off the Thraxxhouse rooster, just came out with another short album entitled Guapo, his second album release this month. Now, the Spanish word “guapo” formally translates to “handsome”, though colloquially it’s used in reference to some tough, relatively sly-but-showy, cigar-puffing womanizer, as the Word Paint cover art illustrates. This album isn’t nearly as intimidating though, promise (but I’m sure Jayyeah is totally handsome). Here’s “Rescue”, the sixth track off the EP and my personal favorite.
