Is there anything James Blake can’t do? No, seriously. I’d say maybe the only thing James Blake can’t do is maybe announce Spanish soccer? He might have a hard time doing voice-overs for superhero movies but I could see him being able to pull it off.
Anyways, Blake took a shot at covering a classic in Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence” and boy did we get a treat of a cover. Blake premiered the remix/cover on his BBC1 radioshow, 1-800-Dinosaur, which is one of the networks most popular hosted radio program. The track adds in Blake’s new wave UK RnB style over the classic songs lyrics, also sung by Blake. With autumn fast approaching, I will definitely be revisiting this track over and over and the temperatures start to get lower and lower.
