Is there moral goodness, what is goodness to you?
Moral goodness exists in my life. Yet, it’s pretty subjective. Goodness: the products of respect, honesty, loyalty, and decency. I’m a human, you respect my life, are honesty with me about my bullshit (and yours too, for that matter), you have the decency to give me a heads up when something bad is coming my way, and you’re loyal to whatever type of relationship we’ve built.
Do you worry about the heat death of the universe?
Yes, now that you ask, I do. We waste hella energy on bullshit all day & these phones?! It’s pretty much a wrap.
How do you create meaningful experience in your life?
Meaningful experience happens when I learn something from interacting with others. I place a lot of value on my interaction with people in general. Whether it’s romantic, platonic, familiar, or strange. I believe I can/will learn something from it all. When I struggle or get stuck it’s a meaningful, it’s life. This shit is all about the “how” to me, not the what. Instead of being depressed, angry or whatever, I focus on what I’m supposed to be learning. Then I’m content. That’s how I make it all mean something.
How do you manage ennui?
I pretty much never get bored unless I’m in class w/o my MacBook. I always feel like there’s something I need to be doing so I’d have to be without any music, phone, laptop or table to become bored and even then I’d just paint. Or figure out some way to create something. Wow, I could just throw out that stuff & create tangible things. But then, no.
Do you think anything is absolute? If so, what?
Idiots and change, duh.
Many Existentialist define existence as being-in-the-world or being-with-others. What do you think is the role of community, in relation to the development of one’s self?
Being with others. We’re all here to learn, love, and grow. That’s just how I feel. everyone else here is supposed to help me grow, thus I love better, teach others through my experience, affect them positively or negatively, and vice versa. I believe being with others is simultaneous development. Of course, one can regress in some areas depending on the company one keeps. Alas, development is the dependent variable.
