If I had to describe Ex Hex in one way, it would be that they’re a hybrid between Haim, The Donnas with a sprinkle of punk. I’m a sucker for Washington, D.C., so this trippy new visual is pretty damn interesting while also retaining a goofy feel. Their first album, Rips, released through indie powerhouse Merge Records, came out last week to much acclaim (including “Best New Music” on Pitchfork), and it’ll certainly be interesting to see where Ex Hex goes from here.
