The production on this tape is phenomenally based, particularly ‘Drugs‘ an old Bollywood inspired joint from Keyboard Kid. That’s not to undercut the work of resident producer YAWNS, or guests Lord Loud, NEDARB NAGROM or JAYYEAH who all glo on their respective tracks. I left a couple of producers out because I am still making my way through the album, it’s that stacked. Faces and Gungho ride each beat well and succeed in creating a cohesive picture and tone across a motley landscape of sinister beats. The Key Nyata feature stuck out to me as well, The first album review I ever wrote was for the now defunct KnuckleRumbler.com. It was about Key’s tape Too Phonkey, back when RVXDXR KLVN hieroglyphics were still the look. Dude has been grinding and perfecting his sound ever since.
