“Standing Waves”, an absolutely gorgeous song created by Cross Record a group based in Brooklyn New York is a refreshing piece for a man who listens to too much loop based music. The song is off their upcoming release “Wabi-Sabi”, which will be out January 29th, 2016 on Ba Da Bing Records and it is arranged as satisfyingly as it gets when it comes to song structure. At first i’m drawn in by the soft vocals, then guided by their trance I find myself building steadily, like a tide rising up and I’m the surfer in the thick of it. By the end you are washed ashore and making sense of it all.
