CRASHprez delivers more perfect. via Mishka Records. This is the second edition of his planned quartet of projects in this series. Listen to the first one called fear itself as well. more perfect. is a powerful and thought provoking listen that is best described by CRASHprez:
“What does it mean to be a young Black man existing in the United States of America right now with middle-class roots, who grew up around Black folks with a father for a policeman, who moved on to go to school around White folks and slowly began to unravel how Black he actually is since he never had to think about it previously? Why can people with my skin die on a snack run or a night drive or in our sleep?
These questions are addressed through the narrative of the story where the fictional me was murdered for what I believe in by DJ Farrakhanvict from WMLK 96.8FM after the release party of my last EP fear itself. It turns out Farrakhanvict didn’t kill me after all… that’s all I’ll say about it without spoiling anything. This is the second piece in a four-part saga of EPs and albums.”
An early favorite track of mine is “Dogmatic” featuring Taylor Scott with production by *hitmayng, who has three tracks on more perfect and made all of the beats for the fear itself EP.
