The Bronx’s Chris Cartier is pissed off at the notion of working a Minimum Wage job just to survive and he isn’t afraid to let everyone know. The video for Minimum Wage isn’t anything that is going to visually jump out and grab you by the neck, but I will always be a fan of gritty, simple hip-hop videos when pulled off with the correct charisma like Chris does for this. The accompanying storyboard, in this F. Track Films directed video, showcases the lengths that some will go to avoid putting their blood, sweat, and tears into making $8.95/hour. Chris has managed to catch the attention of almost every major hip-hop blog, as well as a cosign from the All Def Digital house, and I believe that the talent level certainly lives up to the hype. The closing frame is also extremely powerful, so make sure to give the entire 4:25 your undivided attention.
