119 Productions and The FDC released Chicago Sight ‘N Sounds (Part 1) today via Fake Shore Drive. It is a finely curated compilation tape of Chicago based artists, and shows really good taste. I’ve been looking forward to this project, the singles they’ve released leading up to this have featured some of the hottest talent in Chicago hip hop. Part 1 features rappers/vocalists Saba, KSRA, Defcee, Solar Five, Psalm One, Jarred AG, Dally Auston, Lucki Eck$ and Chris Crack. Production by equally qualified musicians including A Billion Young, Professor Fox, Sev Seveer, Saba, Mojek, Smoko Ono, Boathouse, Plu2o Nash, Tmthy Trtl, The O’My’s and Carter Lang. I’m on my first listen, it’s damn good all the way through, now I’m really looking forward to Part 2. Enjoy Chicago Sight ‘N Sound (Part 1). Salute 119, The FDC and all these talented musicians.
