One of the kings of qt dance music Charlie Yin, aka Giraffage, comes through with another grand remix.
This time, the San Francisco-based DJ/producer takes the undeniably catchy pop of Carly Rae Jepsen into glitchy hip-hop territory, and morphs the chorus into saccharine, ping-pong synth trap. Giraffage will also begin a winter tour of the U.S. beginning November 4th, and promises everything he plays on it he will have had a hand in creating. “Imagine throwing all the Giraffage songs you know into one giant pot and stirring it all together, that’s what the set will sound like,” Giraffage wrote on his Instagram. Hopefully clubs all over the country will have a chance to throw some smiley trap elbows to Carly Rae Jepsen later in the year.
