One of the more eclectic live electronic trios in the Chicago area, Autograf are back with the feel good tune “Running,” which also is surprisingly only their second originally released song. In a time of tumultuous Mercury Retrograde, “Running,” is a tropical, soul-inspired single from artists on a mission to feature original artwork with each forthcoming release. According to a release, the artwork for the single was inspired heavily by pop-art, and uses the image of Coco Chanel, highlighting “a female icon who sought to break societal norms and conventions.”
More than just a digital file, the artwork for the song, created by all three Autograf members Louis Kha, Mikul Wing and Jake Carpenter, is a 24 x 24 acrylic, spray paint and mixed media piece on wood.
