A-Cross dropped “Mary Magdalene,” the second single from his upcoming debut project The Passion of the Cross due on July 9. The project and track title are cohesive and imply a biblical theme which I find very intriguing, although this song is not religious. The production by Bravestarr sets a steady groove and gives A-Cross the space to tell the story of a relationship with a girl that has a past. He raps about both the promise of the partnership and his concerns. The evocative artwork is by Richard Wilkinson. Get to know A-Cross via his Existential Little Interview and be sure to listen to “Mary Magdalene.”
