(Orb) is a unique entity stemming from sounds crossing many decades. The duo made up of Jeff Graupner and Henry Chern began making music over a decade ago in Milwaukee and have continually pushed the scope of creativity. They’re latest release “Inside Voices” is no exception with synths engulfing you from the very beginning and drum grooves that are laid with the power of someone trying to break each drum with every hit. The entire album is a cohesive group of songs that takes you through multiple scenes projected on one canvas and you can tell by listening that these two have a gel that is seemingly lost within a lot of bands today. That gel is a selfless view of making music and once someone or a group of people can take away ego and create for the sole purpose of passion, that’s when something bigger than what anyone can imagine begins to take place. “Inside Voices” brings that passion to our ears and I’m very happy for its release. Here’s the video for their second single “(I Heard You) Say My Name” and its directed by Kaycee Conaway with added visuals from brownshoesonly. This video is amazingly done and you can see the aesthetic (ORB) is pursuing perfectly.
