Yesterday I was reading a tremendous list on Pigeons and Planes about soundcloud producers. The list inspired me, primarily because Soundcloud artists are my bread and butter. While this list mentioned my current obsession, Blank Body, it failed to give credence to a lot of people I consider important. During my time as a music blogger, I have had the pleasure of observing a whole grip of talented people. Over the years, I have seen them ‘glo up’, watching through a cloudy lens of sound. Below I have listed just a smattering of musicians I think the world should know about.
1. Babeo Baggins (Barf Troop)
Babeo first came onto my radar in 2012 with the track Temple of Aspen (produced by Lofty305). Nowadays she is still working with next-level producers like Qrion and her latest work is getting shouted out by the likes of Drake, Father, and of course The Fader. Babeo is officially on one, and I am honored to have interviewed her so early on in her career. As she told me, “Barf troop is all about girl power.”
