Tree felt good today, so good for us. He dropped “Love” and an early collection of work recorded between 2001 – 2007 titled How It Started. He described the release below, though no disclaimer is needed. It’s a real treat to hear where Tree started, no surprise he was encouraged to take music seriously. Thank you Tree.
disclaimer:
“These are all pre trap music era recordings… Before the Keefs and Lil Durks.. All productions are created by me and all recordings took place in Hyde Park, Illinois or the Cabrini Green housing projects.
This is a collection of songs that I never got mixed or mastered and ultimately lost the masters for, also all of these songs are pre Sunday School 2001… This is me at my rawest, unfiltered, and before I got any attention from labels and blogs. These are the songs that I would burn to discs and hand out throughout Chicago… however awful in audio quality due to me recording in my room, these songs made people encourage me to do music full time. For that I am forever grateful.”
I feel good today. So I’ll release this project today.”
