Sub Pop Records signee Daughn Gibson is a crooner with a record coming out in June (Carnation), one of his first singles off the project is “It Wants Everything”, the track is mellow with very airy vocals and a “too cool” tone. The track has creepy undertones with the “Silence of the Lambs” allusions in the title and lyrics, the backing instruments also stop on a dime at points throughout for a quick eerie pause that certainly adds a sinister dimension to the tune.
