Those who are fans of Sufjan Stevens’ Illinois or Michigan albums, I have good news for you: it would appear as though Sufjan is back on the solo acoustic wagon. Thank god. Not that his instrumental albums and orchestra experiments were bad, but it’s good to have some classic Sufjan back. Today, Mr. Stevens brings us “No Shade In The Shadow Of The Cross,” a simple and beautifully reminiscent single off of his upcoming release Carrie and Lowell, which is due out March 31st. Good news all around. Cheers.
