I came across Dream Koala not too long ago as I was searching for smaller labels to start expanding my international ear and luckily I came across French boutique power-house Moose Records. I was intrigued by the picture of Yndi Ferreira on the Moose Record website so decided to see what this dude was about and was immediately blown away by the video on the page for his song ‘Earth’. The way his voice elegantly sways throughout the music feels like the freest of dreams and compliments his production gracefully. I quickly became a fan of his work. With ‘Dimension Sleeper’ he doesn’t miss a step. It’s ethereal pop at its finest and creates a sonic scape that is about as meditative as you can get through someone else’s voice. He’s a force that deserves to have his mind at the forefront of our art, with an ear that is delicate and an eye blessed with a distinct vision.
His Ep “Exodus” will be dropping December 4th and I recommend the purchase.
