The original “Yell It Out!” is a fun exercise in mixing old pop samples and creating a beach vibe suitable for the 1960s. The Boston based group The Derevolutions make their own song twice as fun by amping up the energy and chopping up parts of the sample so that it really takes up every part of the mix and gets in the listeners ear. The song will have you yelling bits of audio that you’re not entirely sure what the words are, but that’s the funnest part about frantic sampling; whether you’re spelling or counting along to the chorus or just going LA-LA-LA-LA the song is as fun as you could ever hope.
