Is there moral goodness, what is goodness to you?
I can only say that ‘do onto others’ doesn’t work because some people want to be abused; sometimes out of a guilt that has been instilled in them since early childhood. A lot of the dogma we’ve clung to is counterintuitive in a sad and ironic way.
Do you worry about the heat death of the universe?
I don’t. But if it does happen, I want to be holding onto a park fence screaming and then burn into a skeleton like in Terminator 2.
How do you create meaningful experience in your life?
I don’t. Life is a meaningless misery.
What is time? What is Macaroni Time?
Time is a force that works against just to annoy you. Suffering is prolonged and pleasure is fleeting. Macaroni time is the time it takes to cook macaroni, which equates to extreme annoyance and infinite suffering.
Like Sartre, do you consider contemplation a luxury?
Absolutely. Modern life is constructed to deprive the individual of contemplation in small, difficult to notice measures here and there.
Is your existence as compared to your nonexistence something which can be justified?
My existence is justified by the unfortunate lack of anyone like me who could take my place if I wasn’t here.
What are some examples of increased absurdity/entropy in the universe?
We live in an increasingly cynical society in which fame is more easily acquired by being bad at something than being good at it. The line between parody and authenticity is obscured past the point of recognition. Rebecca Black’s neo classic, “Friday” is my favorite example of this. I call this phenomenon and anything that fits into it ‘post-good.’
