Zach:
This song is a jewel from one of the worst Bollywood movies I’ve ever kinda watched. I think it was metafiction though – which is of course a tight narrative genre. Wait until you hear it speeded up. – <3 Solaris Hilton
Alexy:
Instrumental music is perfect to put in the background. J dillas instrumentals? They’re so commanding and filled with soul they always come to the forefront of whatever you’re doing. As a result, all of my old memories are to the soundtrack of whatever Dilla song/album was playing at the time.
Donshining:
Big L is my favorite rapper of all time. I was introduced to him when I was a freshman at Roosevelt University, living in the UC, and smoking gravity bongs in the bathrooms. I had a friend named Denim who honestly was one of the greatest musical minds I have ever met and introduced me to bands like Modest Mouse, showed me Illmatic, and showed me this freestyle. Big L’s flow on this freestyle makes Jay-Z sound like Ice JJ Fish and ever since hearing this I’ve put L higher than any other rapper that’s ever existed. So thank you Denim and thank you University Center in Downtown Chicago.
