Saba’s Burnout video was just premiered on Complex. It’s from his highly acclaimed ComfortZone mixtape. The video was directed by Tom Vin, Elijah Alvarado, and Caves. The song and video both feature Eryn Allen Kane, they’re jamming and cruising around together in cut out forms. It’s fun, witty and infectious. Big ups to Saba, he’s a hard working artist and raps great, produces and is an energetic and talented performer. Saba described Burnout to Complex, “Burnout was one of the first songs conceptualized for ComfortZone, I thought of the title while I was in college my second year, it was literally how I felt: burned out. The chords (by pianist Justin Jackson) sat on my computer for over a year before I finished the rest of the track and began writing. Burnout was also my favorite video game in like ’05, it just made sense.”
