Code Red is the debut EP by Lou Era, a 19 year old artist from Chicago’s South Side. He works with a different producer on each of the three tracks including Saint The Good Boy, KC Beatz, and NiFD giving each song a unique sound. “Room 214” is a great song for Valentine’s Day. “They Know” is dope, he starts out with a fast and intense flow and transitions to showcase his singing. Code Red closes with “Gang” and it’s heartfelt and shows commitment. This is an insightful look into Lou Era as an artist, I’ve been paying attention to him for awhile and remember fondly when he got his first post on The Source for a track with Justiiice Benjamin and Satchel Stokes. He’s made a lot of artistic progress, enjoy Code Red.
“Keys to the game right here
We can do the thing right here
‘Cos boy I got the gang right here
But the grind don’t stop
If it ain’t my year” – From “Gang”
