Lili K steps into the spotlight with her lead single “Tommy” from her debut album Ruby scheduled to drop on April 21. Her voice is well known to many of us from her soulful contributions to hit records by artists such as Tree, Chance, Vic Mensa, The O’My’s and others. It’s an exciting and highly anticipated project, she has released a few solo EPs, but Ruby will be her first self produced and full length musical statement. “Tommy” is a gorgeous and playful sounding song with the video done in a 1960’s style with the leading lady trying to capture the attention of Tommy. ShowYouSuck makes an appearance too! Lili describes this visual as her version of a John Waters film and tweeted “Making Tommy was so much fun. The cast was comprised of my friends from high school, and we just got to hang out and be art school nerds.” The visual was directed by Addison Wright and J. Frank and premiered on Saint Heron. Be sure to tune into AudioTree today (Jan. 26) at 5PM CST to catch Lili and her band performing on a live broadcast.
