Many Existentialists define existence as “being-in-the-world” or “being-with-others”. What do you think is the role of community in the development of one’s self?
This question brings the cliche proverb “it takes a village to raise a child” to mind and it’s definitely something I agree with to an extent. I feel like the people you surround yourself with and the environment you come from helps to mold your outlook and opinion on certain things. Ultimately, I think it’s up to the individual to make a conscious decision in terms of who they are, what they want and how they feel about things. But, the communal aspect of life can be a source of knowledge and influence, there’s a lot to be learned from other people that you may never have discovered on your own and there’s always a different perspective if you open your eyes and ears.
What is the importance of space exploration in our society?
Space is cool and the thought of life existing outside of our planet intrigues me but I don’t think it’s super important, at least within the context of our society. There’s plenty other things we could be funding and pursuing. If life was the movie Armageddon I’d be all for it. Who’s gonna be our Bruce Willis though?
Are you afraid that everything will happen?
I’m mostly afraid nothing will happen.
Do you think trends are accelerating faster than ever?
Absolutely. You can always tell the difference between someone who creates a wave and someone who rides the wave. As long as you stay authentic in what you do there will be longevity. Trends come and go, but where are you gonna be when that supreme fit don’t make you cool anymore?
*currently draped in BAPE, Supreme and PYREX as I write this*
Sidenote: is PYREX still a thing?
Also, does anyone remember spinner shoes? That’s a trend that I wish would come back. A gucci flip flop / spinner shoe hybrid would honestly be life changing.
What is time? What is Macaroni Time?
MACARONI IS THE ONLY
TIME I KNOW.
