Blessed be the day that Atlanta rapper Evian Luciani finally lets loose the project he’s been dropping one-offs to promote for the past month. Death-Con 03′ is as much of an album full of turnt-up anthems as it is the story of the path of a youth looking for their way. I Stay Lit has been out for awhile, and is definitely still a personal favorite, but Tucumcari is something new for those that haven’t been paying attention to Evian‘s constant fire that he’s been releasing left and right. Another great addition here is also the bonus track – which is a chopped and screwed version of the record Check. Personally, I am hoping this project does enough for Evian to throw him into the conversation of up & comers to pay attention to as it is a sound body of work – it has enough weirdness to be different and enough mainstream appeal for anyone to be able to pick out a favorite song.
