Dan Kanvis follows up his recent project Windows with the Parallel EP. It is three tracks in length and all produced seamlessly by J. Arthur of theWHOevers. Kanvis is a talented writer and his warm and inviting music draws you into his space. Leor Galil wrote in the Chicago Reader , “Local rapper Dan Kanvis is a figure without whom Chicago’s sprawling underground hip-hop scene would be a little dimmer.” Parallel features soulful playing by musicians Cooper Thomas on guitar and Matthew Skillz on bass. Dan starts a short tour today opening for Kehlani in Detroit, then Des Moines and finishes up in Chicago at Township for a Parallel release event on Friday, July 10, where he’ll be joined by Nick Astro, Calez and Keiya.
