Podcasts like No Jumper and Breakfast Club have been relevant for a long time. Viral iconic moments like those with Birdman and recently Kodak Black are what make them interesting. You never know what will happen and what insights you’ll get from these podcast segments. One particular show has been highlighting the talents of my city, it’s called ‘Chicago Sleepers’ and is hosted by Lil Jake and Lil Jaw. Their goal is to put the spotlight on up-and-coming local talents, Lil Jake believes “Chicago deserves more credit than it’s given” and this podcast is the duo’s way of giving the city more shine. So far, the podcasts have really gives us a deep look into a lot of the big names in Chicago. It’s interesting to see how people we consider an important part of the Chicago culture have been around each other for a while and how they have been helping each other to get to that point. Though the podcast is a huge part of the Chicago Sleeper’s brand, they’re also hoping to explore other lanes, So far they’ve held a pop up art show and a $1 show featuring Chicago’s own Lucki X along with Warhol.ss . There’s no doubt that Chicago is talented and the Chicago Sleepers Podcast is great addition to the culture. As lil Jaw stated, “A lot of people don’t know about the history” and their goal is to share that and give the city the credit it deserves.
